Duan Wu Festival. Often known as Dragon Boat Festival, is one of the three major festivals in the Chinese calendar, together with Mid-Autumun Festival and Spring Festival. In the past, on that day the emperor would not hold court, common people would offer their worship and sacrifices to the gods and ancestors, women would go back to their mother’s home with kids, friends would get together and children would play a game called “competition of the herds ”.
